Wallpaper Installation
've FINALLY got around to installing the wallpaper in my office! Have you ever spent time learning how to do something but then applying almost absolutely none of the techniques that you learned when actually trying it out yourself? Well, that was me this afternoon. Prior to putting up the wallpaper, I told myself that it'd be in my best interest to find videos on YouTube for some guidance. Since this was my first time installing removable wallpaper, I wanted to get an idea of what sort of challenges I may run into while putting up the paper.
One of the Property Brother's insisted that I draw straight lines on the wall to help with aligning the paper. But did I do that? Absolutely not. And do I regret not doing that? Absolutely. Not to mention, I actually own a whole laser thing that literally places the straight line against the wall for me. All I had to do was set it up but nope. I thought I knew everything. Well, lo behold I ended up having to redo a lot of the initial 2 panels because I was trying to move too fast.
I'm now at 4 panels in and I'm on the fence about starting over and applying the techniques I've learned. It doesn't look bad per se. Rather, I do have some white showing at the top due to where I failed to properly cut off the wallpaper. Oh, and not to mention because I'm too short to reach the ceiling, I opted to place the ladder on the entertainment stand for more height. Ya'll, I feared for my life every time I stepped on that ladder because it wasn't stable on the surface - it was too wide!
Well, now that I'm 4 panels in, I decided to sleep on whether I want to start fresh or not. It actually doesn't look bad. And my biggest concern is for a space that will likely never be in a photo or video. I'm just being nit-picky.
After finishing up the initial 4 panels, I decided to rearrange the furniture in my office. I like the new layout (which was actually my first choice that never came to fruition). I have so much more space to walk around.
Hoping to purchase a taller ladder this weekend. Wish me luck!

New Office Furniture
It's bittersweet saying goodbye to our home in Beverly Hills. However, all good things must come to an end. And in our case, it was time to move on to a larger residence that would provide me with much more space to create a full fledged home office. For the past year or so, I worked out of a small room off our living room. It was a practical space if you're someone who solely uses their office to work on a computer. However, when you're someone with a million crafting hobbies - it was less than ideal. I literally had my craft supplies stored in various rooms because I had ran out of space in my office for storage.
